Will the average U.S. wholesale price of whole chicken wings in September 2026 be above 140¢ per pound?

If the average U.S. wholesale price of whole chicken wings in September 2026 is above 140¢ per pound, then the market resolves to Yes. The September 2026 value will be the arithmetic mean of the “Wtd Avg” values initially published for “Wings – Whole” in each USDA Weekly National Chicken Report whose “Report For” period ends during September 2026. The applicable figure appears under “Chicken, Parts – Domestic – Fresh – Conventional – FOB,” in the “Current Week’s Trading” columns, and is reported in cents per pound. Each qualifying weekly value will receive equal weight. The “1,000 lbs” figures will not be used to reweight the weekly observations. No rounding will be applied to the calculated average before comparison with the strike. If USDA does not publish a report for a particular week, no value will be imputed; the calculation will use all qualifying values that USDA publishes. Initially published values will be used regardless of later revisions, corrections, or updates.
