Will global account ownership in the next Global Findex release be above 85%?

If the World Bank reports that the global account ownership in the next Global Findex release is above 85%, then the market resolves to Yes. The Underlying is the percentage reported for “World” under the World Bank indicator “Account ownership at a financial institution or with a mobile-money-service provider (% of population ages 15+),” series code FX.OWN.TOTL.ZS, for the earliest reference year after 2024. The Underlying will be rounded to the nearest 0.1 percentage point. If the Underlying is exactly halfway between two values, it will be rounded to the value farther from zero. Revisions to the 2024 observation will not qualify. If the World Bank changes the name, presentation, series code, or publication location without materially changing what the indicator measures, the corresponding successor series may be used.
