How this market is decidedShow
If New Bedford,, Massachusetts ends its use of Flock Safety license plate reader cameras after Issuance and before Feb 1, 2027, then the market resolves to Yes. A jurisdiction ends its use of Flock Safety cameras if its governing body, chief executive, or police department: terminates a Flock Safety contract before the contract's scheduled end date, or declines to renew or extend a Flock Safety contract, or declines to allow an automatic renewal to take effect, or allows a Flock Safety contract to reach its scheduled end date without entering a renewal or replacement agreement, or otherwise discontinues the jurisdiction's use of Flock Safety cameras, including by moving to a different license plate reader vendor. The action must occur on or after August 21, 2026, and be reported before February 1, 2027. The following do NOT count: Renewing or extending the contract, even with added privacy safeguards, audit requirements or use restrictions A temporary pause, camera deactivation, or moratorium that leaves the underlying contract in force and does not prevent its renewal A non-binding resolution, advisory referendum or committee recommendation that the official empowered to act has not acted upon Each jurisdiction is judged on its own, and action by a jurisdiction not named in this event does not affect any market here. Only reporting from a Source Agency qualifies for the purposes of this market. Reports that merely reference prior publications (from before Issuance) do not qualify. Republishing of content originally produced by other sources (e.g., wire services) only qualifies if the content is hosted on the outlet's official platform and the outlet is clearly identified as the publishing entity.
