The Underlying is the Kentucky Total in EIA’s Table 2 - Coal Production by State for the first Quarterly Coal Report containing full-year 2027 data. Production is reported in thousand short tons and will be converted to million short tons by dividing by 1,000. Eastern and Western Kentucky production are both included.
