If EIA reports that Kentucky’s total coal production for calendar year 2027 is above 28 million short tons, then the market resolves to Yes. The Underlying is the Kentucky Total in EIA’s Table 2 - Coal Production by State for the first Quarterly Coal Report containing full-year 2027 data. Production is reported in thousand short tons and will be converted to million short tons by dividing by 1,000. Eastern and Western Kentucky production are both included.
